Family Therapy

This can be helpful for when relationships have been impacted by life events or when things have just become very difficult and stuck. It is a great opportunity to talk together about things that matter, identify some common ground and helpful goals and benefit from being in a safe space together where everyone can BE HEARD and find a way to reconnect.

We also offer support to separating families so that the important things like how to support the children during this time and afterwards can be discussed and agreed in a safe and supportive environment.

Parenting support

Our children do not come with an instruction manual, and as they go through different developmental phases, things can become very challenging and relationships can suffer. We offer support with parenting, co-parenting and parent coaching. The pre-teen, teen and young adult years can be complex and parenting can become more challenging. Communication can become more tricky as the young person navigates their wish for more independence with requirements of family, friends, first relationships, education and making plans for the future. Often skills to build on healthy communication and strengthening changing relationships can be very helpful so that everyone can stay connected and thrive.

Play Therapy

We provide play therapy sessions for children form the age of 6 who show social, emotional or behavioural difficulties following consultation with the parent/ carer. Usually, parents and carers will be part of most of the sessions as this tends to be more comfortable for the child. This is a great way of understanding your child’s experience and helping them find their voice on what is going on in their lives.
